From a photographer’s perspective, you’re in heaven with the ample opportunities at every turn for exquisite images. You feel tucked away from everything else that is happening in the world and cocooned with the people you adore – life slows down and you take a sip rather than rushing about like we so often do.

GlenLary Estate is absolutely enchanting. We originally had another venue that fell through, and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It is the perfect combination of Southern charm and elegance and the homes on the property are as fabulous as the landscape. We were lucky enough to have our family stay on the estate for the weekend and having everyone together was wonderful and we were able to enjoy more time together before the big day. Elizabeth was amazing and a huge help during this special time in our lives. She went above and beyond to welcome us at GlenLary, and made us feel like we were part of the family.

I was recently a guest at a GlenLary estate wedding and all I can is–wow! It was by far, the most gorgeous event venue I have ever been to for a wedding. From the minute you pull up the long driveway and see the majestic GlenLary estate, the sprawling grounds just take your breath away. There were even horses on the property when we arrived! The ceremony took place in front of the dramatic entrance, which overlooks the entire lawn, and the scene was spectacular. After the ceremony we walked inside for cocktail hour and were surprised to find an intimate at home feel to the interior of the home. The Lary family has a long history in Lexington and it shows with the love and care they have put into this house. The event was flawless, everything ran smoothly from the ceremony to fabulous tented reception. I just think this picturesque venue epitomizes Lexington’s horse country and I can’t wait to go back to Kentucky!

From watching horses run in their paddocks to a surprise visit from the neighboring cows at the fence, you just can’t beat the tranquility of farm. Rich with both family and Kentucky history, the I challenge you to find a spot on the property that isn’t breathtaking.
When booking GlenLary, I don’t know that I’ve ever gone through such a smooth process. And when questions came about during our stay, our contact at the farm was prompt and extremely friendly. We loved roaming around in the main house, cooling off in the pool, walking the drive in the evening, and even moreso cooking in the was-this-in-a-magazine kitchen of the cabin. Though we were just visitors, we definitely felt right at home at the GlenLary Estate.
